It's the only reason for me to eat lunch here.joanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04306294904363359757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28313024.post-44539947945621513272008-08-14T13:47:00.000-07:002008-08-14T13:47:00.000-07:00The asparagus is Grand. I don't know.

Ms. Hazan has you salting the veggies as you cook them, so that their liquid is pulled out and flavors the oil. Both broccoli and asparagus are strongly flavored veggies, green beans seem gentler to me. And it may be my own flaw, but I don't see green beans with parmesan.

I think a very fast, light and flavorful version would be to make it with olive oil, garlic and baby spinach. Then toss with pasta and top with fresh grated cheese.

I suspect you could also cut thin stips of zucchini, saute until soft in olive oil and garlic and toss with pasta as well.

Shoot. Now you have me wanting to play!oddlymehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10326515838434329374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28313024.post-67410860769269879022008-08-14T13:18:00.000-07:002008-08-14T13:18:00.000-07:00Ooooh, asparagus!
