When I'm bored I often come here and look for a new reteraunt to try with friends coming into town. Sad to say I'm a creature of habit so I need someone else to tell me something is tasty before I try it.

Neways I wanted to try Roy's but you don't have an entry about it. Have you ever tried it and maybe just not wrote about it??

One of my richer, more high class insane, friends is coming into town and she is taking me to dinner but she wants me to choose a place that will satisfy her "diversified palate" Neways I have been hearing good things about Roy's so I went to their website and I guess it's their
20th anniversary so Chef Roy is actually going to be at the LA location preparing the meals.

If you have tried it or know anyone who has can you post something about it?? Thanks

I've been to Roy's twice. Once at their Newport Beach location and once at their downtown LA location.

At the NB location, I had their pre-fixed menu. Since this was about three years ago, I can't recall what I had ordered, but I remember liking my meal, if not wowed by it.

A couple of years ago, I had dinner at the LA location and this time didn't do the pre-fixed menu. Again, I don't remember what I ordered, but leaving the restaurant, I didn't feel the need to go back anytime soon.

I guess overall, I thought Roy's was okay, but not spectactular.
